it's wednesday. hump day. with the weekend slightly near. this, however, is not any weekend. it's the August long weekend. Every year, I find some pressure to do something THIS weekend. interesting really. that its' the civic weekend. To be frank, I am not even entirely sure what this weekend is about. What I do know, is that it marks a certain time. It's the last long weekend of the summer. It's hot. and it's time to be outside. The last 2 years, i have been very grateful to trek up to algonquin park to a friends cottage and spend the last weekend of the summer on a lake.
this year, i notice the scrambling. 'what am i going to do?' the last long weekend of the summer. i decided this morning, i will play it by ear. no need to get so worked up. that's everything the last weekend of the summer is not.
