Currently I am reading Memoirs of a Geisha, and by currently I mean, I started last night.Into chapter 1 and am already hooked! it is really well written.
I am hoping that I the writer will tell us what the other four elements are; it is stated that Chiy-o's (main character, I believe that is her Yoriodo name) mother is water and her father wood...the thought that two of these elements together would create a balanced children rather than 1 wood and 1 water. Anyhow, we know wood and water, wondering what the others are...and what the characteristics are....hmmm. Sounds like a make-work project to me!
